June 2025
Welcome to the June Construction Update for Ryan Elementary School! With school officially over for the year and students and staff off for a well-earned summer break, construction at Ryan is well underway. While only select areas will be impacted by construction work inside the school, there is a lot of activity taking place on the exterior of the school. As such, the school building, along with the vast majority of the surrounding campus, are currently off limits to anyone besides construction personnel. This will be the case for the duration of the summer. Below is an overview of the construction activities that will be taking place throughout the Ryan campus during the month of June:
- Demo and begin construction at Pre-K and Intermediate playgrounds. This includes new surfacing and some new equipment.
- Complete demo of Primary playground with reconstruction beginning in early July
- Demo and replace exterior soffits
- Demo carpeting in selected classrooms and hallway
- Demo and replacement of drywall in kindergarten bathrooms
- Replace ceiling tile and lighting in gymnasium
- Replace restroom partitions
- Install stage lift
- Complete sanding and refinishing of columns in the cafeteria
- Complete demo and repaving of the south parking lot
