February 2025

Monarch PK8 project postcards were sent to neighbors this month.

January 2025

The Board approved the GMP Contract in November.  Construction is scheduled to commence on May 27, 2025 with a substantial completion date of August 1, 2025.

November 2024

• Construction documents were issued in September. 
• The contractor's guaranteed maximum price (GMP) will go to the Board in November.
• Construction is planned for summer 2025.

September 2024

• The project team has been meeting with school staff to understand the school's needs and develop the design.
• The design is proceeding on schedule and bidding will occur in November/December. 
• Construction for Phase 2 projects will begin in the spring/summer of 2025.

July 2024

• The focus of CTE at Monarch K-8 is to update current spaces to allow for more collaboration and maker spaces.  A maker space adjacent to the media center is of particular interest with this school.  We are looking at how to open areas up to allow more efficient use in these spaces. 
• SD documents were issued at the end of April and pricing received is showing that this project is also over budget.  We have identified that most of the overages on this project are building code related to lighting and fire alarm scopes.      
• DDs were received on July 3rd with final CDs scheduled to deliver to BVSD on August 23rd.  

April 2024

The design team will continue to develop plans through the summer, with construction bidding planned for late fall. 

February 2024

The project team will meet with the Design Advisory Team. Project announcements will be sent to neighbors this month.

January 2024

The project team of RTA Architects and GH Phipps Construction have been selected for the project. The project team will begin meeting with the Design Advisory Team this month. 

November 2023

The Bond project management team is working with our Procurement staff to contract with architects for Phase 2 projects.  Design work is anticipated to begin in January 2024.

September 2023
