We hope this message finds you and your student(s) well as we quickly approach the end of the calendar year! The BVSD Bond Department is excited to let you know that we are putting plans in place to begin building renovations during the upcoming Winter Break. These improvements are part of the Building for Student Success Bond program which was generously passed by voters in 2022. 

During Winter Break, the flooring in the art room will be replaced. Over the following months, components of the plumbing system will be replaced along with the basketball backboard, weather permitting. Our team will do everything we can to minimize disruption to the school day.

We will keep you updated as the project progresses and appreciate your patience and support.

Community Engagement 

To ensure the school community is engaged in the project, the project manager (PM) will work directly with the school principal to discuss the identified renovations, meet with the architect, and coordinate the construction schedule. The principal will decide which school staff or parents might need to be  involved with the design process depending on the scope of work. The project manager will share information with the entire school staff at key milestones through the design process.

BUILDING SYSTEMS

• Repair/replace deteriorating plumbing system components to avoid potential system failure
• Update obsolete HVAC controls

INFRASTRUCTURE/SITE

• Replace basketball backboards & fencing

SAFETY/CODE

• Install water cistern filtration

INTERIOR SPACE IMPROVEMENT

• Improve interior finishes such as flooring
