January 2026

The Board approved the GMP Contract in November.  Construction is scheduled to commence on May 26, 2026 with a substantial completion date of August 1, 2026.

September 2025

The project teams are in the final stages of design for the Phase 3 projects.  Construction documents will be issued in the fall and the contractor’s guaranteed maximum price (GMP) will go to the Board for approval in November.  Construction is expected to kick off in May 2026 after the students leave for summer break.

April 2025

Design meetings with the project team and school staff will continue through the summer. Construction documents will be completed this fall with construction bidding planned for late fall.  Construction for Phase 3 projects will begin in the spring/summer of 2026.

February 2025

Aspen Creek PK8 project postcards were sent to neighbors this month.

January 2025

The project team of BVH Architects and Alliance Construction Solutions have been selected for the project.  The project team will begin meeting with the Design Advisory Team this month.

November 2024

The project team of BVH Architects and Alliance Construction Solutions have been selected for the project. 

September 2024

The Bond project management team will be working with our Procurement staff this fall to contract with architects and general contractors for Phase 3 projects. 

December 2023

The roof replacement portion of the project is complete.  The Critical Needs work will be completed in Phase 3, which is scheduled for 2026.  Additional updates will be provided as time warrants.  Stay tuned for further information about our project.

July 2023

The roof replacement project is approximately 90% complete. The new membrane roof is being installed over the worn-out, leaky roofs, reducing the amount of material that would have been sent to a landfill if the old roofs were removed. Bonus - some ballast material was removed from the old roofs and reused as a road base on another BVSD site. The project is on schedule to be complete by the end of July. 

June 2023

Thanks to the generous voters of Boulder Valley School District, Aspen Creek PK-8 will receive over $5.1M in building renovations. This work includes much-needed repair and maintenance, such as roof repair; replacing deteriorating components of the HVAC and plumbing systems; repairing damaged asphalt and concrete; and installing new flooring and paint among other important work. We are particularly excited about renovations that will allow us to offer our students more opportunities for Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes.

Much of this work is several years away. However, because of the urgency, roof repair is happening this summer. This work is currently underway and will continue through July.
