The project is on track to be substantially complete for the start of school in August. New carpet has been installed in these areas and throughout the school. Work in the new teachers’ hub is moving toward the finish line with the installation of drywall, to be followed by paint, cabinets, and furniture. The new secure entry vestibule continues to take shape. Fresh paint is being applied in many areas around the school. The new chiller units have been put in place and technicians are working on getting them up and running. These units will serve both the K-8 and the high school. Upcoming work in the cafetorium will include new flooring and a new stage partition and lighting. On the exterior of the building, the new preschool parking lot is moving toward completion and construction of the running path is underway. Administrative staff will continue to be at Superior Elementary (1800 S Indiana St, Superior) for the next few weeks and will return to the school with teachers on Aug. 8.
