May 24 - June 30, 2018 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=69 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=69{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}May 24 - June 30, 2018As we reach the end of the school year, major aspects of the construction project here at Eldorado are now being wrapped up. The new addition and the new Early Childhood classrooms will be completed by the end of May, with all punch-list items being taken care of in the next few days. The bulk of the work this summer will be outside of the school, addressing various tasks to close out the project. New playground equipment will be installed close to the new addition and the ECE classrooms. Landscaping in both the back and front of the school, including asphalt installation around the new addition, will take place during the month of June. The portable buildings will be demolished and removed as well. Drainage issues on the south and west sides of the school (by the gyms) will also be addressed, including the demolition and repouring of concrete. A new footpath will be built around the football field and will coincide with other minor landscaping work on that side of the school. Finally, resurfacing of the tennis courts will be completed over the coming weeks. While these exterior projects around the school are more “visible” to the community, we are excited for the completion of the addition and the primary scope of work. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you avoid the school site while this work is taking place this summer. Note also that the next Construction Update will be for the month of July…..enjoy your long summer break!,
May 16, 2018 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=68 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=68{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}May 16, 2018The wet weather has put a damper on several outside tasks as the ground remains too soft to effectively install asphalt and concrete paths in select locations around the new addition. Thus, little work has taken place outside since the last week’s Construction Update outside of the installation of the vapor barrier in the new addition basement. Inside the new addition, a lot is taking place as final items continue to be addressed. Painting, small sections of flooring, cabinet installation, electrical/data finishes and remedying pre-punch items are all being on the schedule in the week ahead. As the ground dries out (hopefully) in the weeks ahead, work will resume outside around the new addition, the bike rack and portable classrooms. We hope that your student’s school year has been a great one and that a fun summer is in store….Go Eagles!,
July 2018 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=70 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=70{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}July 2018A lot of work has taken place so far this summer and the Eldorado K-8 Bond project is officially entering the final stages this month. Coming up in the month of July will be several specific projects that are slated to be completed (barring any weather delays) by August 1: Early Childhood Playground: Demolition of the current structure and prep/install concrete for installation of the new equipment. South of School: Removal of gas lines, demolition and removal of portables. After this is completed, sub drainage will be installed and installation of concrete will take place. Landscaping: Final removal of stockpile, installation of crusher fine path around football field, work at main entry and irrigation/sod installation where needed. Main Entry: Excavation for main stairs, place stairs and install railing. Final punch-list items continue to be addressed throughout the site, both inside and outside the school. Sanders Construction plans on demobilizing at the end of July and the building is officially ours! As always, we hope you have a fun, relaxing, and safe summer break . . . Go Eagles!,
