Inside the building, work is underway in the varsity locker rooms, kitchen, and wrestling room. Once school is out for the summer, more extensive work will begin both inside and outside the school, including HVAC repair and replacement, roofing, and new finishes and lighting in the administration suite. Extensive renovation will occur in the library and kitchen and cafeteria.

May 2017 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=19 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=19{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}May 2017Broomfield High School Administration met with FCI Constructors and the BVSD Project Manager for our regular weekly Owner Architect Contractor meeting to discuss the mobilization of our Bond Construction. The construction trailer will be moved onto our school site (north of football field) the week of May 8, 2017. Project construction is scheduled to begin with movers in the school on May 25th. Abatement will begin on June 1, following staff/student dismissal for the summer. Additional funding was awarded for the replacement of the east student parking lot asphalt and lighting. This work will take place summer 2018.,
July 2017 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=20 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=20{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}July 2017Construction is in full swing at the school with work occurring in many areas including the main entry, Science rooms, weight room and areas of the roof. Some areas of the school are receiving new carpet and paint. New lighting and windows coupled with renovations to the HVAC system improvements will boost energy efficiency in the building. August 2017 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=21 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=21{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}August 2017FCI Constructors made great progress on the interior and exterior renovation work at Broomfield High School this summer. The first phase of interior renovation work was substantially complete as planned for the start of school in August. Exterior work will continue through the school year. Work completed over the summer includes renovations to Science rooms, new exterior windows, roof repair/replacement, some new interior doors, new lighting, renovated HVAC system, new card readers on some exterior doors, and a new secure entry vestibule.

At the baseball fields, crews are rebuilding the dugouts and replacing the bleachers, fences and backstop. In the coming weeks, the football concession/restroom building will be demolished to make room for the new field house. Asbestos abatement will occur in the cafeteria over winter break.

Work on the tennis courts is underway. Over Spring Break, demolition and asbestos abatement will occur in the locker rooms.
April 2018 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=27 Updates/DispForm.aspx?ID=27{28e838a4-8015-4177-ac17-2576b5d1e514}April 2018FCI Constructors continues to make great progress on the construction project. The exterior ADA ramp has been completed. The new scoreboard and sound system have been installed at the football field and the field house is on schedule to be completed by the end of April. Work on the tennis courts also will wrap up in the coming weeks. Locker rooms were demolished over Spring Break and they will be offline for the remainder of the school year. Coaches have put contingency plans in place to accommodate for the loss of the locker rooms. At the end of April, the kitchen will be turned over to construction crews. We will still serve food from the District menu from a serving line at the south side of the cafeteria. Late in May, the wrestling room will be turned over to construction to begin HVAC and lighting upgrades. Also over the break, concrete caissons for new lights will be installed in the student parking lot.,
